1) At the end of each month I will express
appreciation seven times or when warranted to my co-workers about the
value they provide me as a result of their different DISC behavioral traits.
What outcome/response did you experience based on these new behaviors—for yourself and others? Folks
were pleased that their behavioral style was respected and appreciated. I
felt better when complimenting/appreciating others and was open to different
ways of doing things.What challenges did you experience in implementing your leadership practices and how
did you address them? The
biggest challenge was trying to pick up on subtle behaviors and correlating
that with a DISC Style. To overcome this challenge I had to resort to my
DISC notes and reflect on my historical experiences with the person.What did you learn along
the way? When
expressing appreciation it's good to be specific because not everyone likes
being known as a certain type of person. For example, a person needs to
know that I know they're ambitious in certain situations as opposed to all the
time. An around the clock ambitious person may not be a good thing to
many peoples.How do you plan to utilize these behaviors moving forward?
Certainly continue expressing appreciation at a similar frequency.
2) I will update my IDP to reflect my short term
and long term goals for this performance year and future five years. I
will complete this update by the end of September.

able to find a more focused direction for my self-development.What challenges did you experience in implementing your leadership practices and how
did you address them? Researching
how to accomplish my short term and long term goals and prioritizing which
activity, training, assignment, book to focus on.What did you learn along
the way? For one of my
activities I learned that there are many resources to help me accomplish
it. I didn't know resources to help accomplish my objectives existed
until I was able to share by IDP with a coworker.How do you plan to utilize these behaviors moving forward?
I plan on continuously working on my IDP and not forgetting about it
for a long period of time.
