When leading a team there is no map or manual to follow. This makes for high-pressure and high-risk situations. During these situations, a great leader relies on his/her innate ability. Otherwise known as intuition. Drawing on previous experience is a good place to start especially when you need to make a difficult choice; therefore, learning to trust your intuition is an important factor for leading people. From today forward, I will practice not second-guessing my decisions, I will try to avoid unnecessary corrections, and let my gut reaction help to make those hard choices. I will practice this for one month. I will reflect on my outcomes at the end of every week and I will see if I have better outcomes in the end.

Interesting one, Michael! How much of an intuitive / gut-based decision-maker are you typically? How big a departure from the norm is this for you? I would have hypothesized that, as a strong D in DISC, second-guessing yourself would be somewhat atypical for you. No? I look forward to your update on where this effort leads you. Best wishes with it!

A D yes, but with an overbearing mother always telling it can't be done, it will never work, you will fail, you have this little voice in your head that never goes away. Albeit, I practice not listening to that voice, but it is hard.
