Most will probably rely on a book or an article as a leadership resource. My favorite resource actually comes from a movie, "Remember the Titans" starring Denzel Washington. He plays Coach Herman Boone, who was brought into a newly integrated school in 1970s Alexandria, Virginia to lead the football program. There were a lot of issues of course but there was 'triumph' in the end as he led the team to a championship season!
My favorite scene that I am about to share with you has become my 'motto' for leadership and how I work within a team setting. The clip exposes a lot of issues that can arise for someone in a leadership role, such as not knowing your team, not understanding how they receive messages, and consequences for not leading by example. The scene "Attitude Reflects Leadership", is a conversation between the leaders of both sides of the ball.
After hearing the exchange between the two, there is a deeper understanding of how your attitude can be a reflection of your leadership style and how people respond to you. As a leader, I am aware of what I reflect towards others because of this scene.

I love this movie, and I have used the "Attitude Reflects Leadership" quote in situations that have been presented to me. Great resource and kudos for thinking outside of the box.
