Allies, here are my commitments: 1. I will commit to work on changing the way I deliver feedback by using the SBI script daily, and analyze what I observed and how it can be improved on a weekly basis for at least three weeks. As said in training it is not the message but the way it is delivered. 2. I will commit to seek daily opportunities to practice my interaction with others in the office. I will use the feedback from the DISC analysis “communication tips”, to vary my style with others that are different than me. I will even try to get my co-workers to run the FREE DISC assessment online, and see what they think about the results, and this will help me with my interaction/communication goal too.

Sounds great, Julian! Best wishes with seeking out opportunities for sharing feedback via SBI and assessing the impact of doing so. You could even seek feedback on your feedback! And I hope you have fun and gain value from sharing DISC with others.

Julian,
I've worked with you and somewhat for you for about 6 months of my professional career. One thing I always enjoyed was how positive you were. Even when something went wrong, you were always great at explaining the issue in a non-confrontational and professional manner. Due to this, I think you will do a great at using the SBI script when it comes to delivering feedback. I'd be very interesting in knowing how it goes???
Who has taken the Free DISC Assessment online? Has this helped with communication at all in your office? There's rumors my Division Office will be taking an office wide DISC Assessment in November/December. I think it'll be great for us.

I just read your feedback Cody, and appreciate it. I strive to listen and keep it positive most of the time in the office. The DISC assessment got that right on me. I been proving SIB feedback to my co-workers, and even my supervisor. I have not seen surprise responses from them because I believe that I try to give feedback on regular basis. However, this time I am using the SIB Script. After the SIB feedback, one person expressed gratitude for the feedback, and that made the day for me, other just engage in discussion and move on, and the last one agreed with me and showed interest on the DISC assessment. Another person asked me to review her work, I did and generally I will provide immediate feedback, but this time I waited and asked for her feedback first, and she resolved the issue by herself, I only had to listen.
The test results for my co-workers were: One is a D/CI, and the other a C/SD. We all get along well, and show interest to know each others results and discuss how they agree with them or not.

Julian,
It sounds like things are going well! I like how you are using your leadership practices to fine tune your feedback approach.
